SIGFOX RUSSIA FIRST BASE STATION WAS LAUNCHED IN SARANSK
The first base station called Sigfox Russia was launched in Saransk as part of a pilot project supported by the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of Mordovia. By the end of summer, it is planned to install more than 500 base stations in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Saransk, Kazan, Yekaterinburg and Samara. The company intends to cover most of the households, large industrial sites and transportation hubs of the country with IoT network.
Recall that the partner of the French Internet of Things (IoT) operator, Sigfox, Sigfox Russia is investing 2 billion rubles in creation of a network of industrial Internet of things in Russia, as follows from the company's message. The co-founder of Sigfox Russia is Eric Brisset, who used to be a head of Elektroshchit-TM Samara (owned by Schneider Electric).
