Small technology companies in Mordovia are increasing their supplies under government contracts
Small technology companies in Mordovia are actively participating in public procurement. In the first half of 2026, they signed contracts with government customers worth over 10 million rubles.
Across Russia, the number of small technology companies acting as suppliers has exceeded 1,500 — a 29 % increase compared to the previous year. The total value of the contracts signed amounted to 76.8 billion rubles. Every fifth small technology company in the country now works with government customers.
“Today, small technology companies are actively involved in the import substitution process, playing an important role in the production of high‑tech products, components, and software — everything that helps ensure our country’s technological sovereignty. Their own developments and production facilities allow such companies to offer competitive products, which often have no analogues,” said Maxim Kolesnikov, First Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russia.
The most in‑demand items among customers are software products (9.15 billion rubles), computer equipment (5.75 billion), and machinery and equipment (5.4 billion). Among the customers are major banks and enterprises in the nuclear, aviation, and oil and gas sectors.
In total, there are currently over 7,200 enterprises in the Register of Small Technology Companies across Russia.
