This was reported by the press service of the Head of the Republic of Mordovia.

As one of the speakers, the Head of the region discussed the development of intellectual property in the republic. He noted that in recent years, Mordovia has achieved significant success in scientific and technological development, which has had a direct impact on the socio-economic growth in the region.

The main priority for the republic is the commercialization of scientific research from research centers as part of the development of the real sector of the economy.

Among the key sectors are photonics, biotechnology and medicine, next-generation materials and energy efficiency, agricultural production technologies, processing industries, and the development of the intellectual property market.

It was noted that one of the strategic tasks is to establish a Federal Center for Biotechnology Development, based on Ogarev Mordovia State University in cooperation with the Promomed Group of Companies. This will allow for the localization of developments and ensure the full production cycle of new biotechnological drugs in the country, thus ensuring the pharmaceutical security of the country. The project has received support from the Priority-2030 program.

In addition to this, special attention in the region is paid to creating conditions for the development of intellectual property, its protection, maintenance, and defense of rights. A comprehensive support system operates in this area. A regional system for accounting and storage of R&D results of civil purpose has been developed, and a regional program to support and promote local brands has been approved.
