THE HARVEST CAMPAIGN HAS BEGUN IN MORDOVIA

On July 11, the grain harvest campaign started in Mordovia. According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Mordovia, the first to begin harvesting were the Kovylykinsky and Staroshaygovsky districts. This year, the region's farmers are set to harvest grain and pulse crops from an area of 460,000 hectares.

Over 1,000 grain harvesters will be deployed in the fields. The state of agricultural crops in the republic is assessed as good, with plant development stages meeting the expected timelines. The harvest forecast for this year is optimistic, expected to be at least as high as last year's. For reference, in 2023, Mordovia achieved a record grain harvest of 2.08 million tons with a yield of 43.6 centners per hectare.
