The Law on the Development of Creative Industries has entered into force
On February 5, 2025, the Federal Law on Creative Industries officially entered into force. It becomes the basis for the systematic development of the creative economy in Russia.
Key changes:
- The basic concepts in the field of creative industries are legally fixed, which creates a unified legal framework and unity of law enforcement in this area.
- The powers of federal and regional authorities have been defined, as well as theministry responsible for the development of the creative economy.
- It provides for the development of by-laws at both the federal and regional levels.
- The directions of measures to support creative industries have been identified.
The entry into force of the law initiates the next stage — the development and approval of subordinate regulatory legal acts. This work will be carried out at the federal and regional levels, ensuring comprehensive regulation of the sector.
