PRESIDENT OF FIFA COMMENDED SARANSK AS A HOST CITY OF THE WORLD CUP
During his visit for one of the matches, President of FIFA Gianni Infantino praised Mordovia for readiness to the World Cup. The President of FIFA, Her Imperial Highness Princess Takamado, the Chairman of the Russia 2018 Local Organizing Committee (LOC) Arkady Dvorkovich and Director General of the Russia 2018 LOC Alexey Sorokin were special guests at Colombia-Japan match in Saransk.
JSC BIOKHIMIK EXPANDS OPPORTUNITIES FOR INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION IN EAST ASIA
On June 18, heads of industrial enterprises of the Republic of Mordovia held a meeting with the delegation of the Embassy of Japan in the Russian Federation headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan in the Russian Federation Mr. Toyohisa Kozuki. During the meeting, Executive Director of JSC Biokhimik Dmitry Zemskov told how the plant managed to launch a full production cycle of modern antibiotics in record time.
MORDOVIA STARTS EXPORTING ITS RPODUCTS TO JAPAN
One of Mordovia companies established economic contacts with Japan. The
Land of the Rising Sun is going to purchase some products from Mordovia. It was
announced during the meeting of the regional committee of the competition “The
best goods of Mordovia”. The committee estimates the quality of goods produced
and services provided in Mordovia.
MORDOVIA EXTENDS COOPERATION WITH CUBA
Mordovia and Cuba plan to extend their cooperation.
Now it will be not only supply of industrial products to Cuba. The high
education establishments of Mordovia are ready to accept students from Cuba.
The
discussion of economic and humanitarian cooperation took place during the
meeting in the Embassy of Cuba. Alexander Sedov, Deputy Prime-Minister,
Minister of industry, science and new technologies, was the head of Mordovia
delegation.
SARANSK - ST. PETERSBURG DIRECT FLIGHTS START ON MAY 28
From now on
to get from St. Petersburg to Saransk, one does not need to change flights in
Moscow or waste the whole day going by train. The first regular flight by S7
Airlines will bring passengers from the capital of Mordovia to St. Petersburg
on May 28.
S7 Airlines started regular flights from Moscow
to Saransk in February 2018 just after there has finished the reconstruction of
the airport.
MORDOVIA IS ONE OF TOP 30 REGIONS OF RUSSIA IN THE NATIONAL RATING OF INVESTMENT CLIMATE
The results of the National Rating of Investment Climate in Russian regions were announced during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2018 (SPIEF). The experts assessed regions by 44 indicators in 4 areas. As a result, the Republic of Mordovia is one of top 30 regions of Russia.
5 BILLION RUBLES WILL BE INVESTED IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF MORDOVIA AGRICULTURE
The investments are aimed at construction and reconstruction of greenhouses, construction of a power park and a boiler house for “Teplichnoye” greenhouse and construction of 1000-cow unit. ZAO “Mordovskiy bekon” (pork production) will continue the reconstruction of feed milling and treatment facilities in Torbeevo.
SKOLKOVO PROPOSES TO BENEFIT BUSINESS ANGELS SUPPORTING START-UPS
Skolkovo Fund has proposed that business angels could have a half of their investment to high technology start-ups repaid. This initiative is a part of a plan for development of digital economy control. Business angels will have an opportunity to retrieve a half of their investment to start-ups that pass technological examination through tax relief.
FOR THE LAST FIVE YEARS AGRARIAN COMPANIES OF MORDOVIA HAVE DOUBLED MEAT AND POULTRY PRODUCTION
For the last five years, the production output of meat and poultry has doubled in Mordovia. As the result of 2017, it is 295 thousand tons.
There are plans to increase this number by 10 to 15 thousand tons in 2018.
Head of the Republic of Mordovia Vladimir Volkov: “In 2012, we produced 145 thousand tons of meat. For the last five years, we have reached the results that once seemed impossible. We have doubled this number. Now we have an objective to produce up to 400 thousand tons of meat and poultry by 2022. The capacity of livestock breeding complexes being under construction will make it possible.”
THE VOLUME OF EXPORT OF GOODS PRODUCED IN MORDOVIA HAS GROWN BY 38%
As a result of 2017, the volume of export in the industry of Mordovia grew by 38%. It became 215 million USD. For the last three years this indicator has increased 2.5 times from four to ten billion rubles.
Head of Mordovia Vladimir Volkov noted that the significant growth of export was a result of modernization and innovative development of Mordovia economy. Just in 2017 there were implemented about fifteen projects resulted in establishment or renovation of industrial enterprises.
IT-CONFERENCE B.CON TOOK PLACE IN SARANSK
Representatives of leading IT-companies of Russia and Belarus, higher educational establishments, colleges and schools took part in the conference, which has become a significant event for the republic. The event was organized by Saransk company Bytex.
The participants of the conference could share their experience and insights, learn how the educational establishments of Moscow, St. Petersburg and Minsk train and retrain IT-specialists, and discuss labor market demand with potential employers.
THE PRODUCTION OUTPUT OF TALINA GROUP IN MORDOVIA HAS INCREASED 4.5 TIMES
For the last five years, the production output of Talina Group, one of the biggest agrarian enterprises in Mordovia, has grown 4.5 times. In three years, the group of companies will produce goods for the value of 30 billion rubles per year.
This fast developing enterprise is a flagship of Mordovia agroindustrial complex. The group of companies is going to launch new production facilities in Insar, Kovylkino and Torbeevo districts of Mordovia.
