The tourist flow has grown in Mordovia
In June, according to preliminary data, the tourist flow in most regions of the Volga-Vyatka State Bank of Russia was higher than last year. This is stated in the July issue of the report of the Bank of Russia "Regional Economy:comments".
According to Rosstat, in January–May 2025, Mordovia was visited by more than 86 thousand tourists. This is 16% more than in the same period last year. Leading regional tour operators also note an increase in demand for their services. This is also due to the expansion of the tourist infrastructure: new campsites and tourist routes were opened, new beaches were built last year on the shores of reservoirs in the region, as well as in Saransk.
The July issue of the “Regional Economy” report also covers import supplies and stocks, industry and regional labor market trends, and the situation in the automobile market. The materials are based on official statistics, business surveys, and analyst estimates. The Board of Directors of the Bank of Russia takes into account the data of the report when making decisions on the key rate.
