Unique pultrusion production of polymer composites has been launched in Mordovia
On August 27, a unique high-tech production facility of the “Rosatom” State Corporation composite division opened in Mordovia. This is the second stage of the “Polymer Composites Center” production cluster for the production of composite structures and ready-made solutions for various industries. The Head of Mordovia, Artyom Zdunov, took part in the opening of the production site located on the territory of the advanced socio-economic development “Ruzaevka”. It should be noted that composite production is developing in Russia on behalf of the country's leadership.
The Head of Mordovia, Artyom Zdunov, and Alexander Tyunin, General Director of the Composite Division of “Rosatom” State Corporation, inspected the new lines. The products of the Polymer Composites Center are used in completely different fields – construction, agriculture, energy industry, in the creation of railway and transport infrastructure, and a comfortable urban environment. These can be bridges and lighting street equipment, entrances and facade panels, soundproof walls and pedestrian decking – everything that people use in everyday life. The main distinguishing qualities of composite structures are ease of use, durability and high wear resistance. In addition, the technology is import-substituting and is aimed at developing innovative sectors of the economy.
Opening the second stage of production, Artyom Zdunov noted that more than a billion rubles have been invested in the facility – this is a joint work of the public sector and the investor.
"It is always a landmark event for us – the opening of a new production facility, a new line. Especially if it involves the latest materials. They are easy to work with and easier to maintain. This is especially important in industry, in the housing and communal services sector," said Artyom Zdunov. – We are counting on good turnover, new jobs – more than 300 of them have been created here. "Today is a very important step in the development of advanced, modern materials that form the technological sovereignty of our country and, of course, open up new horizons for the development of the construction industry," said Alexander Tyunin, General Director of the Composite Division of “Rosatom” State Corporation. - Our division is the absolute leader in the Russian composite industry. With the launch of the second stage, we are increasing our production capacity from 1,200 to 3,900 tons per year. We are not only expanding our production site and our product range, but also opening the largest pultrusion production facility in the country."
Alexander Tyunin thanked the regional leadership for the constant systematic support of the investment project in Ruzaevka, and the production team for their energy, resources, ideas and product line development. "I am sure that the Polymer Composites Center has a great future. All the major victories are ahead, only forward!" he summed up.
The company has created about 300 new jobs, and 175 people are already working here. Many residents of Ruzaevka returned from Moscow and other cities and found jobs in new production facilities. The Center for Polymer Composites plans to establish a specialized department on composite materials at the Ogarev Mordovia State University. Students will practice at the production site in Ruzaevska.
