TWO ENTREPRENEURS FROM MORDOVIA ARE AMONG THE NOMINEES FOR THE ALL-RUSSIAN AWARD

On the website of the All-Russian Young Industrialist of the Year award, a public vote is underway. Among the contenders for victory are two entrepreneurs from Mordovia: Alexander Zemchenko and Vladimir Karlenkov.

MORE THAN 15,000 SITES FOR PRODUCTION: MINISTRY OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PRESENTED THE INVESTMENT MAP OF RUSSIA

The Ministry of Economic Development of Russia has developed an investment map of Russia (https://invest.gov.ru/). It is already operational and available to both Russian and foreign entrepreneurs and investors. This was announced by the Minister of Economic Development, Maxim Reshetnikov, during the plenary session of the Entrepreneurship Day at the Russia forum-exhibition at VDNKh. The platform is based on data from the investment maps of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, which were developed during the implementation of the regional investment standard under the guidance of First Deputy Prime Minister Andrey Belousov.

MORDOVIA DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION PARTICIPATED IN THE NAIDA.DIGIT PLATFORM MEETING

On June 14th, employees from the Investment Development Department of the Mordovia Development Corporation participated in a video conference session of the NAIDA.Digit platform. During the video conference on June 14th, the employees from the Investment Development Department of the Mordovia Development Corporation reviewed the results of the NAIDA research on the creation of regional investment maps in Russian regions (in accordance with RIS 2.0) and regional investment portals planned for 2024.

THE DEVELOPMENT OF MORDOVIA'S SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONE WAS DISCUSSED AT THE HOUSE OF THE REPUBLIC

The development of Mordovia's special economic zone was discussed at the House of the Republic. During the meeting, a prospective development plan for the SEZ for the next 10 years was presented. Currently, two residents have started operations in the special economic zone: industrial resident NK-Industriya LLC and Zavod svetovykh priborov LLC (Lighting Fixtures Plant). Three more are undergoing registration procedures and are in the process of developing projects.

MORDOVIA IS AMONG THE BEST REGIONS IN THE COUNTRY FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED BUSINESSES

Mordovia is showing a good increase in the number of SMEs. According to the latest data, the number of SMEs has already exceeded 24.5 thousand. The number of individual entrepreneurs continues to grow as well. Currently, there are over 18.2 thousand in the region, and the number of legal entities has exceeded 6.2 thousand. Self-employment is gaining popularity rapidly. Thanks to the support of the national project, more than 25.8 thousand people in Mordovia are already engaged in this type of activity, and the number of people involved in the SME sector has exceeded 106.8 thousand.

MORDOVIA STATE UNIVERSITY HAS ENTERED THE TOP FIVE UNIVERSITIES IN THE COUNTRY'S RANKING

The 2024 Subject National Aggregated Ranking of Russian Universities has been announced. Ogarev Mordovia State University entered the Premier League of the ranking in seven subject areas. According to the official website of Ogarev Mordovia State University, the university has been recognized as one of the best in the fields of Architecture, Engineering and Construction Technologies, Electrical and Thermal Energy, Ground Transportation Engineering and Technologies, Economics and Management, Linguistics and Literary Studies, and History and Archaeology.

SPIEF-2024: RUTEK COMPANY WILL BUILD A PLANT IN SARANSK IN THE SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONE

The Rutek company will build a plant in the Sistema Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Saransk. Its construction is planned to be completed by 2025. The plant will produce civilian equipment with deep localization. In particular, the company intends to manufacture smartphones, computers, tablets, laptops, and telephone stations.

On June 7, the Head of Mordovia, Artem Zdunov, participated in the plenary session of the XXVII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. This year, the forum is held under the motto “The Foundation of a Multipolar World – Creating New Growth Points”. At the plenary session, President of Russia Vladimir Putin delivered a speech. The Head of state elaborated on the structural changes in the economy that have been initiated in the country.

SPIEF-2024: ARTEM ZDUNOV AND SERGEY SOBYANIN SIGNED A COOPERATION AGREEMENT

On June 7, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, a cooperation agreement was signed between Mordovia and the Government of Moscow. The document was signed by the Head of Mordovia, Artem Zdunov, and the Mayor of Moscow, Sergey Sobyanin. According to the Press Service of the Head of the Republic of Mordovia, the agreement provides for trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation between the regions.

SPIEF-2024: MORDOVIA HAS ENTERED THE TOP 15 IN THE RATING OF THE INVESTMENT CLIMATE

The presentation of the results of the National Investment Climate Rating in the Russian Federation subjects traditionally took place at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The Republic of Mordovia ranked 11th (together with the Sverdlovsk Oblast and the Khabarovsk Krai).
