MORDOVIA DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION HELD A MEETING WITH THE NEFTEKHIMMASH COMPANY
On January 16, representatives of the Mordovia Development Corporation held an off-site working meeting with the management of the Neftekhimmash company. The enterprise is one of the residents of the Ruzaevka PDA. The company is engaged in the production of components for the petrochemical industry and is currently mastering the production of new types of products.
THE NUMBER OF SMES IS GROWING IN MORDOVIA
The number of SMEs in Mordovia is growing every year. By the beginning of January 2025, there were 25,680 of them, and the number of self-employed reached 30,918. From the beginning of 2025, veterans and participants of the special military operation, discharged into the reserve, will be able to receive the Agromotivator grant to start an entrepreneurial activity in agriculture. This is reported by the official website of the Government of the Russian Federation. The grant for cattle breeding for the production of meat and dairy products will be up to 7 million rubles, and for running an agribusiness in other areas – up to 5 million rubles. It is specified that regional commissions will be engaged in the selection of grant recipients. They will evaluate the submitted projects and decide on the provision of state support.
A meeting on supporting investments in the development of small towns in the country was held in the Government of the Russian Federation. It was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak. The Deputy Prime Minister instructed to create a working group under the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation on the development of small towns and rural settlements with the participation of federal and regional authorities. During its work, it is planned to adapt the mechanisms for financing investment projects with the creation of new jobs to the conditions of application in small towns and rural settlements, provide for expenses for industrial mortgages, integrate small towns into the Industrial Development Fund programs and national projects for the development of small and medium-sized businesses, as well as individual entrepreneurship.

VKM STEEL EXPANDS PRODUCTION WITH SUPPORT FROM THE MINISTRY OF INDUSTRY AND TRADE OF RUSSIA
The project to expand the production of medium and small railcar castings to 5.7 thousand tons per year at the VKM Steel plant has been approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia. This was reported on the official website of the RM Rail company. The company was the first in Mordovia to implement a new format of business support – a special investment contract (SPIC 1.0). It provides for preferential taxation on condition of investment in development projects. In addition, this is the first SPIC in railway engineering. VKM Steel will invest more than 800 million rubles in expanding its foundry capacity, which will create more than 120 new jobs.
SARANSK PLANT IS THE WINNER OF THE RUSSIAN GOVERNMENT QUALITY AWARD 2024
Saranskiy Distillers is among the winners of the Russian Government Quality Award 2024. This was reported by the official website of the Russian Government. FEEDBACK PLATFORM TO BE CREATED FOR INVESTORS IN MORDOVIA SUPERVISION PROJECTS
Starting from the second quarter of 2025, investors in Mordovia supervision projects will be able to leave requests and messages on the Feedback Platform (FP Business) of the Unified Portal of State and Municipal Services federal state information system. The work was organized by the Department of Regional Policy of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia to collect feedback from investors in projects approved by the Chairman of the Russian Government Mikhail Mishustin within the framework of the institute of supervision of federal districts, together with the Ministry of Digital Development of Russia, the Federal Treasury and the Analytical Center under the Government of the Russian Federation.
