THE RESULTS OF THE RATING OF SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF MUNICIPAL ENTITIES IN MORDOVIA HAVE BEEN SUMMARIZED

The Ministry of Economy of Mordovia has compiled a rating of the socio-economic development of municipal entities based on statistical data for the year 2023. The rating results are utilized for the prompt assessment of the effectiveness of local government bodies' activities.

SARANSK AIRPORT WILL OPEN A PERMANENT BORDER CROSSING POINT WITHIN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

A permanent border crossing point through the state border of the Russian Federation will be opened at the international airport of Saransk. The corresponding order was signed by the Minister of Transport of Russia, Vitaly Savelyev. The Head of Mordovia, Artyom Zdunov, thanked him for his support and noted that the route of the first international flight will be announced shortly.

IN MORDOVIA, THE NATIONAL PROJECT HELPS ELEVATE ANCIENT PROFESSIONS TO A QUALITATIVELY NEW LEVEL

The cooper from the Bolshebereznikovsky district, Oleg Burov, is widely known not only in our republic but also far beyond its borders. With his own hands, he creates beautiful utensils and household items from what may seem like lifeless pieces of wood, which are purchased by residents and guests of Mordovia. Oak barrels for pickling and beverages, plates, trays, cutting boards, salad bowls – this is far from a complete list of products made by his hands.

SMALL TECHNOLOGY COMPANIES WILL BE ABLE TO OBTAIN LOANS OF UP TO ONE BILLION RUBLES

The subsidized lending program for high-tech, innovative small and medium-sized businesses at 3% per annum under the federal project “Takeoff – from startup to IPO” is extended to small technology companies. Moreover, the maximum loan amount has been increased to 1 billion rubles. As reported by the official website of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, this is the first implemented measure of financial support for this category of business. For high-tech small and medium-sized enterprises, the amount remains the same - up to 500 million rubles.

THE NATIONAL PROJECT HAS PREPARED A BUSY YEAR FOR ENTREPRENEURS IN MORDOVIA

Annually, the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Mordovia, together with the regional Center “My Business” prepare a rich program of events to support SMEs, and this year is no exception. This year, entrepreneurs can expect a series of events dedicated to celebrating the annual holiday – Russian Entrepreneurship Day, culminating in the announcement of the results of the “Best Entrepreneur of the Republic of Mordovia” competition.

THE REGISTRATION FOR ENTREPRENEURS FOR THE “CREATE OURS” COMPETITION HAS BEEN EXTENDED

The registration for the “Create OURS” competition for young entrepreneurs has been extended. The event will take place in an online format, so participation is possible from any part of Russia. The main condition for participation is age, up to 28 years old. You can submit your application until March 17 for one of two categories: “Youth without Business” (if you don’t yet have your own business) or “Business up to 2 years” (if you recently started a business). Registration is available on the website.

BOX SOLUTION FOR MUNICIPAL INVESTMENT PROFILE

The National Association of Investment and Development Agencies, in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, has developed box solutions for creating investment profiles of municipal entities. These solutions include instructions on working with municipality data, forming investment proposals, and creating presentation materials about the territory's opportunities.

THE RUSSIAN GOVERNMENT HAS SUPPORTED THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONE (SEZ) IN MORDOVIA

In Russia, work continues on the formation of territories with special conditions for entrepreneurial activity, where investors can implement economically significant projects under favorable terms.  As part of this work, a resolution has been adopted to establish 3 new Special Economic Zones.

THE NATIONAL PROJECT PROVIDES AN OPPORTUNITY FOR BUSINESSES IN MORDOVIA TO ACCESS PREFERENTIAL LOANS

From 2021 to 2023, 234 guarantees totaling over 1.2 billion rubles were provided to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), with the volume of loans attracted amounting to over 2.4 billion rubles. Additionally, 876 microloans were issued for more than 1.8 billion rubles. Financial support within the framework of the national project “Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise Development and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiative” is provided by state microcredit companies: the Microcredit Company of the Entrepreneurship Support Fund of the Republic of Mordovia and the Autonomous Institution “Regional Microfinance Center of the Republic of Mordovia”.

MORDOVIA DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION ACTED AS A CO-ORGANIZER OF A STRATEGIC SESSION ON TOURISM

On March 4th and 5th, Mordovia Development Corporation, in collaboration with the Social Service Center “Kamenka” and the administrations of the Ardatovsky and Atyashevsky municipal districts, held a strategic session titled “Tourist Attractiveness of the Atyashevsky and Ardatovsky Districts”. The strategic session program included visits to tourist attractions, thematic events, and a strategic session with invited figures from the tourism industry (from Mordovia, Chuvashia, Nizhny Novgorod, and Ulyanovsk regions). Over 20 people participated in the event.

THE REGISTRATION FOR ENTREPRENEURS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE “CREATE OURS” COMPETITION IS CURRENTLY ONGOING

The Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) and the Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Corporation (SME Corporation) have launched the federal youth entrepreneurship competition “Create OURS”. Participants can be young people aged 14 to 28 who wish to start their own business or already have a business that is up to two years old.
Registration is conducted on the digital platform МСП.РФ. Applications can be submitted until March 10th.

MORDOVIA BUSINESS RECEIVED OVER 56 MILLION RUBLES LAST YEAR

For the implementation of the national project “Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiative”, initiated by the President of the Russian Federation and overseen by First Deputy Prime Minister Andrey Belousov, 56.5 million rubles were allocated in 2023, with the majority of funds coming from the federal budget. Thus, over the current and previous years, this amount is expected to increase to nearly 85 million rubles. Speaking of support measures, it is worth mentioning the work of the “My Business” Center, which provides entrepreneurs in the republic with both financial and non-financial assistance.
