ABOUT 10 MILLION KILOMETRES OF OPTICAL FIBER WILL BE PRODUCED IN SARANSK PER YEAR
Three million kilometres of optical fiber has been produced in Saransk for three years since the first in Russia plant for its production started its operation in Saransk. In the future, the company plans to manufacture ten million kilometres of optical fiber per year.
The Regional centre for regulatory and technical support of innovations of the Republic of Mordovia (Regional centre) was established on the basis of Technopark-Mordovia with the participation of the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs of RUSNANO Group. The regional centre is an element of the innovation infrastructure of the Republic of Mordovia, providing innovative products with access to open markets.
THE FIRST ROAD TRAIN FROM MORDOVIA WENT TO KAZAKHSTAN
In early August Mordovagromash assembled the first road train for carrying grain on the chassis of 36 tones KAMAZ vehicle. It was aimed for Kazakhstan. This is a completely new product for the enterprise, that has begun to master the automotive manufacture. Until recently, Mordovagromash mostly produced towed equipment. So, the share of the company in tractor trailers production for the Russian market varies from 37 to 45%.

During the preparation for the FIFA World Cup 2018тм the economy of Mordovia has grown by 123-125%, the average annual growth has been about 5%. By this indicator the region is a one of the leaders in Russia. First Deputy Chairman of the Government - Minister of economy, trade and industry of Mordovia Vladimir Mazov: "We estimate that for next five years the economy of the republic will have grown by 5-6%."
IN 2017, AGRO-INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX OF MORDOVIA PRODUCED AGRICULTURAL GOODS FOR 61.1 BILLION RUBLES
By the end of 2017, the agro-industrial companies of Mordovia produced goods for a total amount of 61.1 billion rubles. Head of the Republic of Mordovia Vladimir Volkov mentioned it during his meeting with Minister of Agriculture of Russia Dmitriy Patrushev.
PRODUCTION OF LED LAMPS FOR OFFICES AND SCHOOLS HAS STARTED IN SARANSK
Scientific Research Institute of Light Sources named after A.N. Lodygin has started the production of LED lamps for schools, offices and administrative buildings. WhiteLight lamps have become the result of professional, enthusiastic and solicitous work of the Institute’s experts. Their approach was very simple: a severe conformity to standards. Competent standardization specialists of the Institute were a great advantage. Every year they take part in the development of interstate and national standards in lighting engineering.
THE GROWTH OF SALARY IN MORDOVIA IS ONE OF THE HIGHEST IN RUSSIA
Mordovia is one top three regions of Russia with the highest growth of salary. For the last six years the payment for labor in the republic has increased by 1.64 times. Russia’s average indicator for that period is 1.52. The ranking of Russian regions was introduced by “Budget” magazine. It shows the growth of nominal salary for the period from 2012 to the first quarter of 2018. As a result, at the top of the ranking there are St. Petersburg (1.79), Dagestan (1.68) and Mordovia.
MORDOVIA STATE UNIVERSITY IS ONE OF TOP 100 BEST UNIVERSITIES OF RUSSIA
Ogarev Mordovia State University is one of top 100 best universities of Russia according to RAEX (Expert RA) expert agency. The university is 67th in the general ranking, 18th among traditional universities and 10th among the universities of Volga Federal District.
THE PODUCTION OF ICE CREAM HAS STARTED IN MORDOVIA
“Oktyabrskaya” farming company has launched the production of ice cream. During the opening ceremony, the Head of Mordovia Vladimir Volkov pointed out that the start of ice-cream production is very significant for the republic. Vladimir Volkov: About ten years ago, there was an ice-cream production in Mordovia. It is our policy that we produce all the necessary goods within our republic.
RUSSIA WILL BECOME TAX FREE IN 2019
The international tax-free system will start working all over the country in 2019. Profitable shopping should attract foreigners to Russia. Minister of Trade and Industry of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov: “The number of foreign guests coming to our country is constantly growing. To boost their buying activity we have launched the tax-free system in 12 regions of Russia. After mastering it, we plan to start the system all over the country in 2019.”
