MORDOVIA IS ONE OF THE TOP 5 REGIONS OF RUSSIA DUE TO ECONOMIC GROWTH RATE

In 2016 Mordovia’s gross regional product was 209.6 billion rubles, which is 5.2% higher than that of 2015. In general, 51 Russian regions have shown the growth of economy. The leader is the Jewish Autonomous Region, whose gross regional product has grown by 7.1%. In the top 5 there are also the Republic of Crimea, Nenets Autonomous Okrug and the city of Sevastopol.

MORDOVIA SIGNS AN AGREEMENT ON COOPERATION WITH BELARUS

Mordovia and Belarus have signed an agreement on cooperation within the fourth Forum of Russian and Belarusian Regions in Moscow.

THE MINISTRY OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION SUPPORTS RUZAEVKA’S APPLICATION FOR PRIORITY SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA

Ruzaevka is the first single-industry town of the Republic of Mordovia to submit an application for the status of priority social and economic development area. On June 28 a special commission of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation supported the Ruzaevka’s application. The status of priority social and economic development area will contribute to attracting investments due to tax incentives and other benefits.

MORDOVIA IS IN TOP 20 REGIONS OF RUSSIA IN MILK PRODUCTION

According to Rosstat, for the first 5 months of 2017 small, medium and large enterprises of the Republic of Mordovia have produced 137.6 thousand tons of milk. It is 4.2. per cent higher than during the same period of 2016.

AGRO-INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX OF MORDOVIA INCREASES PRODUCTION VOLUMES AND CONQUERS EXTERNAL MARKET

10 companies have already received export licenses and four more are in the process. For the last five years agricultural production rate has grown to 120 per cent.

MORDOVIA IS IN TOP-10 INNOVATIVE REGIONS OF RUSSIA

Mordovia was included in the top 10 Russian regions - leaders of innovative development. Based on the results of the annual rating compiled by experts from the Higher School of Economics (HSE), the republic takes the eighth place among the regions with the highest indicators of innovative development.

MORDOVIA SIGNS AN AGREEMENT ON COOPERATION WITH CHINESE PARTNERS

The Government of the Republic of Mordovia and People’s Government of Sichuan Province signed a bilateral agreement on cooperation in trade and economics, science and technology, arts and humanities during the second Council meeting on cooperation between the regions of the Volga Federal District and the upper and middle reaches of Yangtze River of the People's Republic of China.

LIGHTING PRODUCTS FROM MORDOVIA ENTER EAST AFRICA MARKET

The first lot of lamps produced in Saransk by LISMA State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Mordovia were sent to Burundi. Going forward, it is planned to set up a joint venture for light sources production in the African country.

MORDOVIA AND BURUNDI HAS SIGNED AN AGREEMENT ON COOPERATION

An agreement on cooperation in trade, economic, scientific, technological, humanitarian and cultural areas between the Governments of Burundi and Mordovia has become a main outcome of the visit of Burundi delegation.

THE REPUBLIC OF MORDOVIA WAS PRESENTED IN ANHUI PROVINCE, CHINA

The third joint working group of representatives of the Russian Federation on cooperation with Anhui Province was held in China on May 10-21. Representatives of Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Mordovia, Udmurtia, Kirov, Orenburg, Penza and Ulyanovsk regions participated in the event.

Mordovia is among top 20 regions of National rating

Top 20 Russian regions of National rating of Investment climate were announced during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2017). The Republic of Mordovia takes the 18th position in the Rating.


TURKISH VICE-CONSUL VISITED MORDOVIA

Vice-Consul of Turkey in Kazan Nurettin Kaya (responsible for economic cooperation) visited Mordovia on May 31. During the visit the Vice-Consul held a meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Government – Minister of Economy of the Republic of Mordovia Vladimir Mazov. The Turkish party promised to assist in attracting Turkish partners to cooperate with Mordovia and organize the visit of Turkish businesspersons to Saransk.
