Technical readiness of the new Intermunicipal Waste Treatment Complex was checked in Mordovia
On July 1, technical readiness for the launch of the site of the intermunicipal waste treatment complex built in the Lyambirsky district of Mordovia was checked. The facility was created as part of the national project "Environmental Well-being" and is designed to sort 180 thousand tons of solid waste per year. Recall that Russian President Vladimir Putin has set a goal for all solid waste to be sorted in the country by 2030, and at least a quarter of it to be recycled. Federal funds in the amount of 1.2 billion rubles were received for construction with the support of the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources and the republic's strategic partner in the field of solid municipal waste management, the “Russian Environmental Operator”. In total, the construction of the innovative waste sorting complex cost 2.3 billion rubles.
