OWNERS OF INVESTMENT SITES IN MORDOVIA WILL BE ABLE TO LIST THEM ON THE INVESTMENT MAP OF RUSSIA

Legal and physical entities in Mordovia can now list their properties for rent or sale on the Investment Map of Russia. This includes spaces for small businesses as well as land plots for construction and agricultural activities. The Investment Map of Russia was launched in February 2024. Since then, it has featured 16,000 sites, including 217 available investment sites in the Republic of Mordovia (115 land plots and 102 buildings and premises).

MORDOVIA IS RANKED AMONG THE LEADING REGIONS IN TERMS OF THE NUMBER OF ORGANIC PRODUCT PRODUCERS

Mordovia has entered the top 10 of the updated ranking of Russian Federation regions based on the number of certified organic product producers. The ranking was compiled based on the results of the first half of 2024. The Republic of Mordovia, which has 6 registered organic product producers, ranks 7th in the updated list. In the leading position is Voronezh Region, with 17 certified producers. Krasnodar Krai is in second place with 12 producers, and Moscow Region is in third place with 11 producers.

MORDOVIA HAS JOINED THE FORESTRY INDUSTRIAL CLUSTER

Several woodworking enterprises in the Republic of Mordovia have officially joined the forestry industrial cluster. The corresponding order was signed by Anton Alikhanov, the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. The cluster brings together 8 enterprises with various specializations from 6 regions of Russia. Within the cluster, three industrial sites in Mordovia will be utilized for the production of frame-panel houses and glued laminated timber houses.

MORDOVIA DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION PARTICIPATED IN A COMMUNICATION SESSION HOSTED BY THE BANK OF RUSSIA

On July 12, Mordovia hosted a communication session on current issues related to monetary policy. Mordovia Development Corporation participated in the session, represented by General Director Kamill Arslanbekov and Deputy Head of the PPP and Administrative Work Department, Tatyana Afonina. The session covered the potential increase in the key interest rate at the upcoming Bank of Russia meeting. Additionally, Kirill Tremasov, Director of the Monetary Policy Department of the Bank of Russia and the session's speaker, discussed the main goals, objectives, and principles of monetary policy.

THE HARVEST CAMPAIGN HAS BEGUN IN MORDOVIA

On July 11, the grain harvest campaign started in Mordovia. According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Mordovia, the first to begin harvesting were the Kovylykinsky and Staroshaygovsky districts. This year, the region's farmers are set to harvest grain and pulse crops from an area of 460,000 hectares. Over 1,000 grain harvesters will be deployed in the fields. The state of agricultural crops in the republic is assessed as good, with plant development stages meeting the expected timelines. The harvest forecast for this year is optimistic, expected to be at least as high as last year's. For reference, in 2023, Mordovia achieved a record grain harvest of 2.08 million tons with a yield of 43.6 centners per hectare.

MORDOVIA DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION EXCHANGED EXPERIENCE WITH COLLEAGUES FROM THE PENZA REGION

On July 11, a delegation from the Penza region visited the Republic of Mordovia on a business trip. The delegation included representatives from the regional Ministry of Economic Development and Industry, the Development Corporation, the Urban Planning and Architecture Department, and business representatives. The Investment Development Department of the Mordovia Development Corporation organized an extensive program for the guests from the neighboring region. In addition to official meetings, the program included a tour of the Sistema Special Economic Zone – the Svetotekhnika industrial park, a visit to Zavod Svetovyh Priborov LLC, TechnoPark-Mordovia and the Lisma History of Lighting Museum.

Teachers and students of Ogarev Mordovia State University have developed original recipes for natural soft cheese with shambala and boiled-smoked sausage with dried celery. According to the university's press service, these products have a unique taste and aroma and are enriched with dietary fibers, vitamins (such as potassium, magnesium, sodium and iron).

APPLICATIONS ARE BEING ACCEPTED FOR THE MOM-ENTREPRENEUR PROJECT IN MORDOVIA

Applications are being accepted for the grant program Mom-Entrepreneur in Mordovia, which is implemented as part of the national project “Small and Medium Enterprises”.
