TECHNOPARK-MORDOVIA WILL BE SELF-SUSTAINING
Technopark-Mordovia is to be brought to self-sufficiency. By the end of this year, it will become the only center in the Russian Federation where a full cycle of production of special optical fiber will start operating. It was proposed to expand the area of activity of the Technopark to increase efficiency. There is a legislative basis for this.
MORDOVIA WAS INCLUDED IN THE NUMBER OF PILOT REGIONS FOR INVESTMENT PROJECTS UNIFICATION
The Russian government has launched a program to simplify the rules for investment work in the regions. The Ministry of Economy has already created a methodology for creating investment declarations: a document on the main areas of the region's development, its advantages and support measures for investors.
MORDOVIA AND ULYANOVSK REGION WILL COOPERATE IN THE TOURIST INDUSTRY
The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Mordovia and the Tourism Agency of the Ulyanovsk Region signed agreements on cooperation in the tourist industry. The parties intend to hold conferences, seminars, do the mutual exchange of tourist groups for sightseeing and event visiting. The cooperation will also be held on promoting tourism opportunities.
PRODUCTS FROM MORDOVIA WON PRIZES ON THE INTERNATIONAL EVENT FOR CONFECTIONERY QUALITY REVIEW
The 10th International Event for Confectionery Quality Review called Innovations and Traditions was held in Moscow. The quality of confectionery products produced by enterprises of the Russian Federation and of The Eurasian Economic Union countries, their trends in assortment expansion, new developments, and the confectionery products’ competitiveness growth were evaluated.
MORDOVIAN LENTILS WON THE GRAND PRIX AT THE INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION
PRODEXPO is the largest international food and beverage exhibition in Russia and Eastern Europe. The Republic of Mordovia was represented by BIOSPHERE LLC of the Staroshaigovsky municipal district. Mordovian lentils, presented at the exhibition by BIOSPHERE LLC, won the Grand Prix in the Best Organic Product category. It should be noted that PRODEXPO has products from all over the world presented there, from every day basic products and drinks to gourmet delicacies, halal and kosher products, exotic and organic products.
MORDOVIA BECAME ONE OF THE TOP-3 REGIONS FOR SEPARATE ELECTRONIC WASTE COLLECTION
On the eve of International Earth Day, the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia acknowledged the best regions for the separate collection of electronic waste. The Moscow Region became the leader. The Republic of Mordovia took second place with a score of 300 tons. The Tula Oblast took third place.
MORDOVIA WILL RECEIVE OVER ONE BILLION RUBLES AS PART OF THE NATIONAL PROJECT FOR ROAD MAINTENANCE
Mordovia will receive 939 million 400 thousand rubles as financial support of road maintenance from the federal budget as part of the implementation of the national project called Safe and High-Quality Highways in 2021. The funds will come in intergovernmental transfers. In addition, more than 93 million rubles will be spent on bringing regional and (or) inter-municipal highways and the road network of urban agglomerations to a standardized state.

SIGFOX RUSSIA OPENED THE FIRST TECHNOLOGICAL SHOWROOM IN SARANSK
The first technological showroom of SIGFOX RUSSIA, the provider of ready-made solutions for the Internet of Things, was launched on the territory of Mordovia Technopark in Saransk. The exhibition space presents solutions for digitalization of production, retail, logistics and supply chain businesses, commercial real estate, smart buildings and security businesses.
DENIS MANTUROV TAKES PART IN THE LAUNCH OF A NEW PRODUCTION AT THE BIOKHIMIK PLANT
During his working trip to the Republic of Mordovia, Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia Denis Manturov visited the BIOKHIMIK plant in Saransk, where a new ampoule production was launched. The new production line will add the highly demanded Enoxaparin, Nadroparin and Dexamethasone to the list of anti-COVID drugs. In general, the company will double the production of drugs in ampoules to 15 million units per month, which is more than 173 million ampoules per year.
MORDOVIA DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION HELD A MEETING WITH THE INITIATOR OF ODYSSEUS 1
A meeting with Nikolai Gadzhiev, the initiator of the ODYSSEUS 1 project was regarding the creation of a low-platform, hyper-mobile special-purpose transport complex. Based on the presentation of the project and the preliminary expert assessment, the prospects for the development of this type of transport were noted. The project has significant economic potential.
